KEYNOTE SPEAKER: BENJAMIN F. MILLER, PSYD

ben millerBen is redefining public policy that bridges mental health with health care in the United States. He comes to Well Being Trust from the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine; there he was the founding director of the Eugene S. Farley, Jr. Health Policy Center, where he remains a senior advisor. Ben has been a principal investigator on many federal and foundation grants as well as state contracts related to health and health care integration.

Ben holds multiple leadership positions, including section editor for Health and Policy for Families, Systems and Health. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of the British Journal of General Practice. Ben is a technical expert panelist for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on quality measure development for Medicaid beneficiaries as well as for the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program. Ben received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ben has authored more than 80 pieces that drive the mental health and health policy discourse, including works for Health Affairs, Journal of American Board of Family Medicine, American Psychologist and Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings. He has been interviewed by and/or featured in publications such as AAFP NewsNational Public Radio and The New York Times.
